In the South of Europe we are currently immersed in an integration process of digital skills in the educational environment of Primary and Secondary courses. This process requires a good educational planning of working by transversal projects, especially in a curricular scope but also extracurricular.

The so-called Robotics for children, or Educational Robotics, has been a first step of introducing new motivating elements in the classroom, such as LEGO® Education, Scratch, Makey Makey, Microbit, Makeblock, etc. Now we are in a new phase, where teachers become infrastructure and process facilitators, to provoke a significant learning of engineering competences, computational thinking, and efficient work in virtual equipment (global competence).

For this transition, IGNITE's professional team has been thoroughly prepared, and has prepared to move the concept of the typical after school robotics activities, towards a technology CLUB agnostic to technology, with the latest Maker and Tinkering.

For the development of these digital competences IGNITE Serious Play advises educational centers to introduce new technologies such as Educational Robotics, 3D Printing, Videogame Programming, etc. as a vehicle of expression and technological support, both in the curricular workshop and extracurricular format.

Of course, a good basic technology is not enough, and requires a good application of active methodologies such as Design Thinking, Gamification, Flipped Learning, etc.

Therefore, our pedagogical management team has designed a recurring support service for educational centers, where we design and implement the work through transversal projects with STEAM technologies (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths), which include Educational Robotics, Programming, as well as 3D Design and Printing.

Activity that helps develop computational thinking making robot programs, as well as encourage team working with other international schools using Minecraft Education and CoSpaces.

Through a monthly fee, our professionals advise and train the educational team of the educational center, throughout the school year, through training capsules and support for project work.

For example, at the beginning of the course we offer courses in Educational Robotics, Programming, as well as educational Coaching methodologies such as LEGO® Serious Play.

This consultancy can be integrated in the field of workshops in curricular scope, as well as in the typical format of extra-curricular of Robotics, Programming, 3D Printing with a duration of 1h30min weekly.

As a novelty, this year 2018, part of our team of professionals has been formed as GOOGLE CERTIFIED, so we can include in our consulting portfolio services integration with Google Suite applications in the collaborative and communication environment of a educational center, as well as the introduction to the Educational Robotics in the classroom with Chromebooks.
